I live in a small rural community in Utah. I have lived here my whole life and I have been keeping my mouth shut about my UFO sighting for over 30 years. It all happened in the summer of 1981. I was driving home from visiting a friend late at night when my car broke down. I was only about 2 miles from home so I decided to walk home and come back in the morning for the car.
About 5 minute into my walk a bright object flew past me about as high up as a treetop. The only sound

it made was the sound of the air as it went through it. I got really scared and threw myself into the vegetation by the roadside to hide.
The object was about

as big as a mobile home and shaped like a football and was white with some grey panels. I saw the object land by the road about 200 yards up the road. I hid in a bush just watching. I couldn't see very well. I was really scared but also very curious. I knew that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see a real UFO up close and I knew that if I didn't try to take a closer look now that I had the chance I would regret it for the rest of my life. So I decided to sneak closer
