Cigar Shaped Object UFO Sighting from Redding, California

I was out in the back yard last night smoking a cigarette as usual and I was about to go back inside when I noticed an object in the sky. It was cigar shaped and moved in a pendulum motion. I was looking at it for about half a minute when the object suddenly went dark and I couldn't see it any more. This happened about 10:30. Did anyone else see this weird object or was I the only one?
