This happened in the early 1990s in Fresno, California. I don't remember the exact time but it was between 1992 to 1994. My roommates and I were out on our patio in the early evening and we saw a very bright light in the sky. It looked like a blowtorch in the sky. It was not moving, it kept its position constant. It stayed that way for about maybe 20 seconds and then it turned into a small orange ball of light that moved away in an arc shaped path and disappeared.

on the news to see if there was any mention of this and it turned out a lot of people had seen this but there was no explanation. A few days later there was a lame

explanation about it being a missile test, but I don't buy that...

That actually sounds a lot like what a missile test would look like. Not saying that's what it was but it could have been.

I saw a red orb around the same time '92 or '93. It floated right above the street in front of my house. I estimate it to have been 20-25ft up and if it was a 2d circle it would be about 20ft across. No sound but the air felt charged. I freak out and ran inside. Whole thing lasted about a minute.
