Couple of buddies and I were camping at Deschutes River south of Bend back in 99. One of my buddies woke me up in the middle of the night and told me there's some really weird stuff going on outside the tent. You're an idiot I told him. But he insisted so I stuck my head out and took a look and there was a bright spotlight shining at the ground just a few yards from the tent. Like a very sharp spotlight like the once they use for live shows. We couldn't make out the source other than

it was a very bright light. The area illuminated was nothing special, just a patch of ground. Then after about 20 seconds or so the light just turned off and was

gone. There was no sound of any type of aircraft. Weirdest experience I have ever had.
