At Lake Wheeler just south of Raleigh, North Carolina I saw a UFO in 1993. I was at that little area when you enter that has a view of the dam. I am a Civil Engineer so I like to take look at things like this when I go places. I understand there are usually more people there but it seems I was the only one around at the time.
All of the sudden I see a light coming from under the water. It wasn't very bright or anything but underwater lights are not normal. The light was

getting bigger in size and a little bit brighter. The water wasn't clear enough to make out anything else than the light.
Suddenly the water above the light

bursts up and this thing shoots out like a rocket and flies straight up into space. It was about the size of a small car and was shaped like an egg or it might have been spherical. It was too fast to tell for sure.
From the moment it came out of the water until it was out of sight in the sky was about 2 seconds. It had no visible propulsion system, it seemed like it was being pulled upwards by some invisible force like magnetism or some kind of reverse gravity.
I looked around to see if anyone else had seen this but there was no one else in sight. Whatever that thing was it was not of this earth.
