I was hiking in the hills north of Simi Valley when I noticed a metallic cylindrical object sitting on top of a ridge ahead of me about half a mile away. It looked like the size of a small house and was cylindrical like a drum, about 20 to 25 feet tall. I though it was some kind of water tank perhaps that I had never noticed before since I've been there before several times.
I didn't think much of it until I noticed the thing started rising up from the ground and was soon

hovering a few feet of the ground. I started running towards it to get a better look but it started moving away and passed behind the ridge where I couldn't see

it. I ran as fast as I could to the top of the ridge hoping to see it on the other side but it was gone.

I saw a weird light in the Santa Susana mountains in Simi Valley a couple Sundays ago. There are NO houses up in that are, only walking trails. I know nobody was up there because it was a very chilly and rainy night. Still not sure what it was.
