In the late 90's, two of my friends and I were driving from Gardiner to New Paltz around 8:00 pm in the Fall. About 3-miles before New Paltz there's some apple orchards on the left with views of the Gunks. The rail trail also goes through this orchard.
Suddenly a bright light popped up above the trees, hovered for a few seconds, then flew to the Mohonk Mountain tower at a speed no known human aircraft can do. The craft seemed to contour the lay of the land as it flew from the

orchard and carved over the mountain in about 1 second.
A few years later, I learned of the UFO sightings in Pine Bush and realized the
craft was heading

right for the Pine Bush area.
Some maybe skeptical, but the three of us all saw it clearly and have no reason to lie.

That area has had many sightings like that over the years. Seem to be concentrated there for some reason.
