I was driving with my 16-year-old son heading east bound on MD Route 23. It was roughly 5:30 p.m. in the Jarrettsville, MD area. I saw what I thought to be a bright star that actually was moving towards us and was getting larger and was very bright. First thought of mine was that I was seeing a star go supernova or something strange. I made a left at a light, and my son kept eyes on it. I looked again and caught it looking like a distorted green color before vanishing. It

seemed to just shrink to nothing after that green looking color. Best way I can describe it was like looking at a led flashlight that someone is widening the beam
|
straight at you. It was round, and the light looked extremely white and bright. I'm sure others traveling on the road had to see it. It seemed from my perspective to be either hovering, expanding, and brightening both at once or flying west towards us dead on and appeared like that. It was definitely the craziest thing I have ever seen.
